The Working Time Directives (WTD) protects workers under 18 from working over 40 hours a week and older workers working more than 48 hours a week unless they chose so to do. Whilst this appears to be relatively straight forward, calculating WTD can be difficult especially when considering that these figures are averaged out over 17 weeks and where there are tea breaks, lunch breaks, overtime, night work and work on a Sunday to be taken into consideration.
DMB Law can assist both employers and employees in claims relating to WTD and can assist employers with training in how to prevent such claims arising. If we can help you with any aspect of WTD email john@dmblaw,co.uk
